The Self Published route increases in popularity by the year. Parisa Ambwani's ‘Recipes from the Heart' is a fascinating book, that shows the endless years of love, effort and work that went into its production. The book is filled with interesting recipes, illustrations and tidbits of information; and became a lifetime work, put together over twenty years. The Judges were most impressed, and thought the work deserved recognition. The Self Published Award was introduced into the 2006 Program, and was jump started. The book is proof that the lady is truly a Culinary Literary Entrepreneur.

Parisa, who won two Awards in 2005, for her Self Published Book and the Culinary Entrepreneur Award, took the initiative and entered her book again in 2006. It was entered into the Cookbook 'Cover & Title' and received a 'Special Merit' Award. During the past year, Parisa has rapidly acquired the title 'Philosopher in the Kitchen'. A very appropriate description that covers the theme throughout her book, filled with food philosophy.
