    In 1985 NOREEN KINNEY initiated the name

CORDON D' OR - GOLD RIBBON

for use in her culinary arts work and title of her latest cookbook

In 1990 NOREEN took the next step and defined the phrase

' Culinary Accolade of the 21st Century '

The Supreme Accolade

CORDON D' OR - GOLD RIBBON

can be applied to any Culinary Arena at the pinnacle of

its activities in the ' Culinary Arts ' theatre and is awarded

for superlative standards at local and international level

It continues to grow in prestige and stature in the

21st Century with the emphasis now on the

International Annual

The Awards Program is open to Culinary

Professionals worldwide. It is listed in Writers

Market annual publications, from Australia and

New Zealand to the European Continent, the

United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada and the

United States.

AWARDS

Cordon d'Or - Gold Ribbon Globe Trophies are awarded to all Winners. The Judges

will also chose an overall Winner who will be presented with $1000 cash award.

If the Winning Entry chosen for the Cash Award is a group

entry (two or more entrants), the $1000 Cash Award will be

split evenly between the Winners in the group. If there are two

separate winning entries chosen to receive the cash award, it

will be split between the two entries.

THE ACADEMY OF THE 'CULINARY ARTS' OPENED ON JANUARY 1, 2006 - A CELEBRATION OF THE 21st ANNIVERSARY OF CORDON D' OR - GOLD RIBBON.

 

YOU ARE INVITED TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THE ACADEMY OF THE 'CULINARY ARTS'. AS A MEMBER, YOU WILL ACQUIRE SEVERAL PRIVILEGES, AND CAN VOTE ANNUALLY ON SEVERAL AWARDS PRESENTED TO CULINARIANS. MEMBERS CAN ELECT SOMEONE TO GO FORWARD INTO THE CORDON D' OR - GOLD RIBBON 'CULINARY HALL OF FAME'. THEY WILL DECIDE ON WHO WILL BECOME 'THE CULINARIAN OF THE YEAR', AND WHO WILL RECEIVE THE  'CULINARY LIFE ACHIEVEMENT' AWARD, THE 'CULINARY ENTREPRENEUR', THE 'CHEF OF THE YEAR' AND 'COOKING SCHOOL OF THE YEAR' AWARDS ANNUALLY. THEY WILL CHOOSE THE 'COUNTRY' OR 'CULINARIAN' DESERVING RECOGNITION FOR THE 'CUISINE OF THE YEAR' AWARD. MEMBERS WILL HAVE ADDITIONAL BENEFITS TOO.
