BIO:
Georgina
Campbell
Georgina is an Icon on the Irish food scene.
For more than 30 years, she has written about the work of others on the Irish
culinary stage. The time has come for Georgina to gain deserved recognition too
for her remarkable contribution in promoting Ireland's food and travel scene onto
the world stage. Georgina had a cookery column in the Irish Independent newspaper
in the 1970s. She went on to write several Irish cookbooks. By the 1990s, Georgina
was involved in organizing an annual Awards Program throughout Ireland, recognizing
the best of Chefs, Guest Houses, Hotels, Restaurants, and a host of other Culinary
activities. The Awards were sponsored by many well known organizations within
Ireland. She started her very comprehensive annual Georgina Campbell's
Jameson Guide to The Best Places to Eat, Drink and Stay in Ireland seven
years ago. Georgina continues to fill up 3 to 4 pages monthly in Ireland's leading
Food and Wine magazine, featuring a half dozen magnificent
places to stay in Ireland, where the food and wine is excellent. She also has
3 pages in the Irish Independent Weekend Magazine. Her cook book Irish
County House Cooking (new edition) was recently published.
