BIOS:
Barbara Tasch Ezratty began publishing Tables Magazine eight years ago. As a former restaurant reviewer, she saw the need to provide Puerto Rico 's residents and visitors with a convenient, portable and informative guide to the restaurant scene on the island. Over the years, Tables has outstandingly met that need, as it has gotten rave reviews from hotel concierges (who call it their “bible”); islanders, who say they keep one in their car and another by their phone; and tourists, who snap up the 175,000 copies that are printed of each issue.
The Puerto Rico Convention Bureau and the Puerto Rico Tourism Company have each endorsed the magazine and are glad to participate in its distribution and at the annual Tables Magazine “Chefs' Hat Awards” that have become a popular event in the culinary scene on the island. In 2006, Tables Magazine will increase its print order to 180,000 copies per issue.
Barbara is married to attorney Harry A. Ezratty. They divide their time between San Juan , Puerto Rico and Baltimore, Maryland .
Richard Gottesman , the designer of Tables Magazine, is a software developer by profession and an artist by inclination, both of which are visible in his designs of Tables magazines over the years. Each of the magazine's pages is that perfect blend of text, photographs and graphics that combine to present the reader with attractive and easy-to-read articles, advertisements and listings. His quest for perfection on each page is recognized by the readers, who always offer superlatives when they comment on Tables Magazine. And those in the know look for his initials (RGX) hidden on the cover of each issue.
Rich is married to Jacqueline Quiñones . They live with their sons Ben and Jordan in Acton, Massachusetts
